When the world stopped, their stories moved us all.
Come From Away takes you into the heart of an extraordinary true and heart wrenching event. 38 planes with 6,579 passengers are stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. The locals dropped everything to welcome these “foreigners” and strangers into their town, homes, and lives. Come From Away is an uplifting, joyful musical that celebrates the connections we have with humanity in the face of inhumane circumstances.

Come From Away is generously sponsored by MSU Federal Credit Union desk Drawer Foundation.

In the spirit of Come From Away and its celebration of kindness, community, and helping others, Riverwalk Theatre is hosting a food and item drive benefiting the Greater Lansing Food Bank and City Rescue Mission during the run of the show.
For the Greater Lansing Food Bank, requested items include cooking oil, peanut butter, kid-friendly snacks, boxed dinners, baby food and
formula, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups and stews, pasta, rice,

available at the theatre.
Donations for City Rescue Mission include coffee, new underwear, shampoo, body wash, cereal, packaged snacks, pajamas, deodorant, laundry sheets or pods, and Kleenex. QR codes will also be available for those who would prefer to donate through City Mission’s Amazon Wish List or Donate Now page.
Audience members are encouraged to bring donations with them when they attend a performance, or they may drop off items at the theatre on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
